Introduction
If you are here I assume that you’ve read “The original methods” where I’ve explained the base concepts, and how exactly this method works. If you missed it, please read it first.
As you’ve seen at the end of that page, there were many flaws with the original methods, which I’ve managed to overcome.
The PectusConnectUs braces
The bracing system consist 3 different kind of braces:
1. Soft brace
2. Hard brace
3. Quick release brace
There are two main differences between them:
1. The pulling force is created differently, the soft brace uses rubber bands while the hard brace uses a ratcheting strap, meanwhile the quick release mechanism uses adjustment screws.
2. The rigidity differs because of this, the soft brace let’s your body to move while the hard brace doesn’t, meanwhile the quickrelease brace combines both.
Every brace is handmade, specially designed for the patient’s chest.

All three types has their benefits and disadvantages
Soft brace advantages:
The soft brace other than it’s invisible, it’s also 100% metal free.
This means that metal detectors are not a problem! Furthermore it’s really comfortable at the same time. Doesn’t restrict you in movement, let’s your ribcage to move a little.
Instead of creating an overwhelming force, it creates a force which can be much well tolerated while you are doing freetime activities, training, or just hanging out in public, or sleeping.
Hard brace advantages:
First, it’s effective by creating an overwhelming force which your body (your ribcage) has to obey.
This force is perfect, in a sense that it doesn’t create any pressure on the sides of the ribcage.
Secondly, it uses a ratcheting mechanism which can be easily adjusted.
Because of this, it’s easier to tighten and adjust. (for those who have disabilities).
Quick release brace advantages:
First, it’s effective by creating an strong force which your body (your ribcage) has to obey.
This force is perfect, in a sense that it doesn’t create any pressure on the sides of the ribcage.
Secondly, it uses a adjustment bolts which can be easily adjusted.
Because of this, it’s easy to tighten and adjust, but the best feature it has it’s capability for quick release, by one hand.
This way the brace “remembers” and you can quick-fit and quick-release the brace as you go.
Soft brace disadvantages:
The only real disadvantage is actually what’s it’s advantage. The force what it creates is not overwhelming, not rigid, and there is a slight pressure on the sides of the ribcage, therefore the reshaping of the chest isn’t that effective. I have to highlight that it’s still really effective, just not as much as the hard brace.
Hard brace disadvantages:
The real disadvantage of this brace is that it’s very visible, you can only hide it in baggy clothing, or under a coat.
Quick release brace disadvantages:
It’s more visible than the soft brace, but still can be hidden. It has no real downsides besides that.
The bracing systems complement eachother, what one is lacking the other one makes up for it.
(Braces for Pectus Carinatum, Pectus Arcuatum and other type of variants are still under development, if you have one these rare cases, send me an email)
The PectusConnectUs vacuum bell
I overcame the problems what the original vacuum bell had, and I’ve created the PectusConnectUs vacuum bells, for Pectus Excavatum.
There are two type of vacuum bells:
1. “Flat” bell
2. “Overpulling” bell
There are two main difference between the bells:
1. The flatness/roundness. The flat bell is much more discreet under clothing than the overpulling bell.
2. Coverage. The flat bell is designed to pull the least amount (also to avoid pulling of the nipples.)
Every bell is handmade, specially designed for the patient’s chest.

Both types has their benefits and disadvantages
Flat bell advantages:
It’s 100% metal free, which means that metal detectors are no problem.
Other than that, the slope of it is made to follow your chest fully, so even under tight clothing it remains 100% invisible.
Sensitive parts (like the nipples) aren’t pulled with this version (if your chest is shaped in a way that it’s possible to avoid) so all in all you are able to wear this type in public for extended periods of time.
Overpulling bell advantages:
It’s also 100% metal free, but the curvature is much more round, so you are able to fully pull up your chest and beyond: you are able to overpull your chest with it.
Flat bell disadvantages:
Similarly, what’s it’s advantage is really it’s disadvantage too.
The curvature is not that high, so you may won’t be able to pull up your chest to where it should be.
Overpulling bell disadvantages:
The curvature differs from the shape of your chest. Sensitive parts are also pulled with it.
How to take photos of your chest: 3D scanning
By watching the following video, you’ll understand how to take the pictures of your chest, so I can create a 3D model of you (from those pictures) and from there I’ll be able to create your devices frist three dimensionally, and then in real life.
Coaching app
I have to highlight that if you decide to purchase the PectuSlim™ bracing system and/or vacuum bell, automatically I’ll become your coach. You can decide if you want coaching or not, but keep in mind when the devices will be sold for full price the coaching won’t be free anymore!
One thing is, if you have a great tool, which is known to be working, it does not necessarily mean that you would be successful with it too.
Like everyone else, you probably bought stuff or services, what you’ve never used. Great example is gym equipment that you’ve only used a couple of times, or a gym membership where you went a few times only.
The reason for this is that you didn’t have enough intrinsic (or internal) motivation which comes from within, your desire to do something.
It was enough to buy the equipment but it wasn’t enough for you to use it every day, to be consistent with it.
This is where extrinsic (or external) motivation comes into the picture: it’s a reinforcement, which comes from an outside source, for example from someone, even if that someone is guiding you through an application.
